20minn free write, "In every lybrary there is a book that kills"

“In every library there is a book that kills.” Roy and Emily were looking for just that one.
They had overheard there uncle the professor saying that to one of his colleges, and feeling inspired they set out on a quest to find which one of the thousands it was. They were just about halfway down the corridor when Emily thought she heard something, feeling rather panicky to begin with she jumped and made a “shhh hhssss” sound at Roy. “What is it Em?”
“I thought I heard something”
This was not at all improbable the professors library was at the end of a long corridor flanked by his many labs, filled with this or that sort of an experiment, neither Roy or Emily were strictly allowed in any of the labs, or the library for that matter. The professor felt they would in all certainty maim them selves quite severely, after all that’s what kept happening to all of his assistants.
The Professor had discovered Emily and Roy on his doorstep with a note from his sisters lawyer informing him of her death and his newly acquired charges, they were not much more than six years old when they arrived. He never backed down from a challenge and ordered a goodly quantity of books pertaining to parenting, and studied them all very carefully. They were proving to be little use, Roy and Emily often contradicted many of the mannerisms given in the books, this was mildly perplexing to the professor. And he was authoring a book on the rearing of abnormal children to help others who might find them selves in his predicament.
“I didn’t here anything”
“that’s because your thick”
“am not!”
“sHHHHHhhHhh”
“woof?”
It was just Baxter, the professors dog. He had been asleep when Roy and Emily left on their quest, and when he woke he was a little hurt they hadn’t invited him to come. So he went in search of them.
“Come on then Baxter” said Roy.
Baxter cheerfully trotted up to take lead position and looked back at them quizzically, Emily replied
“Were off to the library on a quest to find the deadly book of death”
Baxter was pleased and assumed a very serious look on his face, his tail arched over his back. He took the lead down the hallway, a daring adventurer like Captain Cook. The rooms they passed buzzed, whirred, and let off swirls of light under the cracks of the doors, it made the hallway look like a cave on the ocean. Baxter, Roy, and Emily all took notice of this. Baxter began sniffing the ground furiously, Roy took out his sward, and Emily consulted her treasure map. They were pirates now; searching for a long lost burred treasure. Perused by the best and fastest of the Royal Navy, bound to catch them at any minuet.
They reached the end of the cave, and pushed open the door to the library. Roy put away his sward and took out a torch, Baxter shifted the load of packs on his back, and Emily put away the shovel they had used to find the lost library of Egypt. The bold archeologists had fought there way there through the army of the feared Sheik who had placed a bounty on there heads…
